How much of your guts should you spill onto your keyboard for the sake of getting a point across? 

Thing is, most of the time, people consume content because they're looking for help with their life, so it seems like it's an incredibly fine balance of how much of your life you should inject for the sake of helping make their lives better.  

Fitzgerald said that you need to bleed onto the page. But he also wrote fiction and told stories to soothe his soul.

But if you're creating content for the sales or marketing audience, is bleeding the best choice?

Does bleeding about such things cheapen the human experience or bring dignity to the sale process?
